About the Author Roberta Lee was born in Bucks County, Pennsylvania and moved to California in the early '70's, living in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Santa Cruz, and then returning to Bucks County in the mid-80's. She sold her first painting at age 16 and has been a working artist ever since. The majority of her paintings use subjects very close to her home--in many cases, literally in her own backyard. Roberta began writing even before she began painting. She is currently completing a series of related novels collectively entitled Suburban Sprawl.
